Complete collection of DC RPG books

A return to blogging

This blog uses Shopify's built in blog tool and I appreciate it for it's minimalism (very old-school... a textarea with a formatting bar) but I have to say, I get bad vibes from the two AI sparkles being the very first button.

Originally, this site's marketing plan was all about writing and building a powerful long tail of search results (hopefully good and readable on their own), but as the internet devolved into it's current state, I would have had to do more social media, etc, and now who really knows what I would have to do. Beg an LLM to notice me I guess so it sticks a link to my shop in the AI-generated answer when people ask "where buy cthulhu dice."

I don't say this to mope or complain. More to explain why I have been an absent blogger for years. 2026 is the year of publishing more though, for me. More on my personal blog, more role playing game books, and lastly, more here.

Here's something I want to blog about:

I missed this when it was crowdfunding, but today I saw that this is available - a complete reprint of the Mayfair DC RPG from the 80's-90's. When I was a kid, there was an amazing bookstore right near my house with a spinner rack of supplements from this. I read and re-read the Doom Patrol one over and over. I am very tempted to drop $630 on ALL of EVERYTHING they published, but also... that would probably mean one less vacation this year. So I probably won't.

I would love the chance to buy these a la carte though, instead of in these bundles. I would assume the license doesn't allow for that or something- I don't need a Superman supplement but I'd love Swamp Thing, Apokolips or even Legion of Superheroes.
