I know that some people kind of can't stand it now, but I think I'll always have a soft spot for this sort of stuff. Anyways here is an article on a Sonoma Country Steampunk Festival.

The term wunderkammer is German for ‘cabinet of curiosities’, which used to be a way rich collectors could show off their collections of myriad and strange objects from their travels around the world.
