Let us be real for a second: Masks of Nyarlathotep absolutely rules. When I first got into Call of Cthulhu maybe twenty years ago, it was largely considered the greatest RPG module of all time.

I don't know that there can be such a thing as a "greatest" RPG module, but I do think it is phenomenal. It's incredibly cinematic, and one of the cool bits is that Nyarlahotep is the only Mythos entity who will happily taunt you, appear in human form, blast your mind. Well, they'll all blast your mind.

I love the idea that the Bloody Tongue creature can appear alongside the Black Man of the Woods from the Witch Cults of Western Europe, and this one figure has been manipulating things the entire time.
