What is there to say about Cthulhu that hasn't already said by smarter people than me? Or, if not smarter, than at least by people who aren't me. I would perhaps recommend reading the Trail of Cthulhu rulebook and really luxuriating in how Ken Hite presents him. (By the way, that book has super interesting presentations of all the Mythos deities, like Cthuhu, Outer Gods, whatever you call them. It's like 15 years old now so it's not news, but it remains very cool.)

I personally don't care for the comic book muscle dragon portrayal of the dude but that's one of the great things about a fictional character, you can have your own relationship to it.
