Numenera Dice Set

The Numenera Dice set is intended for use with Monte Cook's Numenera RPG. The set includes one d20, one d6, and a pair of d10s (for percentile results like Call of Cthulhu.) These dice were created by Q Workshop and are officially licensed for use with Numenera.

What is Numenera?

Numenera is a fantasy RPG set in a world created by game design veteran Monte Cook. You can find out more information on their website.

The basic premise is this: you are journeying through the Ninth World, a science fiction world of abandoned, ancient civilizations and vast scale.

There are three main classes, which echo the traditional RPG style classes, but present them in a science fictional manner.

From the Numenera Website:

• Glaives are the warriors of the Ninth World.  Glaives can wear heavy armor and wield massive weapons, or they can fight with light weapons and armor so they can move quickly.
• Nanos are wizard-like characters who harness the numenera to work miracles. These miracles, called esoteries, walk the line somewhere between machine and magic, depending on the nano’s particular skillset.
• Jacks are named after jacks-of-all-trades. They have a lot of tricks up their sleeves, which makes them skilled at a little bit of everything.

Numenera is a Simple Game

Numenera is not focused heavily on mechanics like some editions of Dungeons and Dragons. That's why the Numenera Dice Set consists of just four painted dice - all you need to play Numenera is a set of percentile dice, a d20 and a d6. These dice are beautifully painted in an orange and blue color scheme, with the Numenera symbol painted on the highest face of each die.
